HYLO - PARIN® is a sterile preservative-free solution containing 1 mg / ml of sodium hyaluronate, 00 IU / ml of heparin sodium (from porcine intestinal mucosa), glycerol, citrate buffer and water.

Tear production decreases with age. HYLO - PARIN® contains sodium hyaluronate, a physiological substance that is located in the eye and other tissues of the body. The sodium hyaluronate is a layer of uniform, stable and especially long-lasting moisture on the surface of the eye that is not easy to eliminate. This special property, named «bioadhesivity», is due to the heparin, which is also a physiological substance whose chemical structure is similar to the sodium hyaluronate. Sodium hyaluronate and heparin protect the cornea and conjunctiva, and along with natural tears, lubricate the ocular surface. Create a long-lasting and stable tear film that covers the eye and protects it against environmental irritations.

As it has no preservatives and contains physiological substances, HYLO - PARIN® tends to be very well tolerated.

How should HYLO - PARIN® be applied?

Remove the plug before use.

Before the first application, turn the vial of HYLO - PARIN® with its tip pointing down and press on the bottom of the bottle until the first drop on the nozzle.

The bottle is now ready for use. Hold the vial upside down and apply a pressure strong and fast at the bottom of the bottle. Thus turns on the mechanism for the release of a drop. What else needs to know?

Since HYLO - PARIN® is free of preservatives, it is well tolerated, even when used over a longer time period.

On very rare occasions there have been hypersensitivity reactions such as itching or excessive tearing which disappear immediately after suspending the use of HYLO - PARIN®. On very rare occasions have been described skin allergic reactions to heparin.

HYLO - PARIN® can be used for hard or soft contact lens wearers.

There are no limitations on the use of HYLO - PARIN® in children and pregnant or nursing mothers.

If you must use an eyedropper with gentamicin concomitantly, allow a prolonged interval of at least one hour between two applications, when gentamicin comes into direct contact with heparin can be form precipitates visible in the SAC conjunctival.

How often and for how much time you can use HYLO - PARIN®?

You must use HYLO - PARIN® in accordance with the instructions given by your doctor. In general, instill one drop of HYLO - PARIN® into the conjunctival SAC of each eye three times a day. If necessary, you can also use it more frequently.

If you apply HYLO - PARIN® most frequently (for example, more than twice a day) or suffer more serious discomfort, consult your ophthalmologist at regular intervals.

HYLO - PARIN® is suitable for long-term treatment. Anyway, consult your ophthalmologist if symptoms persist or if the inconvenience do not improve, for example, before two weeks.

When should you not use HYLO - PARIN®?

HYLO - PARIN® if you are hypersensitive to any of its components should not be used.

What do you need to know about the conservation of HYLO - PARIN®?
